India Update Issue 8 | Jan 2011 LPTI
Season’s Greetings!

A Very Happy New Year 2011 !

After bidding goodbye to a successful year 2010, we at Le Passage to India are here with another interesting start to the year 2011. This new year issue takes you through a Heritage Walk in the capital city of Rajasthan - Jaipur, a tall heroic fort of Chittorgarh, the little haven of Yoga – Rishikesh and the novel festival of kite flying in the North. Move down South to relish nature in God’s own country Kerala, or take pleasure in various Indian Dance forms showcased in the Mammallapuram Dance Festival.

Keeping in the spirit of festivities around, at Le Passage to India, we also welcomed our hospitality partners for a Cookout Lunch where we all got together to rejoice on the great year that went by and toasted to the new year ahead. January will be even more exciting with two of our special projects – India Art Summit, Delhi from 20th – 23rd January & DSC Jaipur Literary festival from 21st - 25th January. We do hope many of you and your clients travelling to India during this time will take time out to experience these wonderful events.

Tourism industry in India has consolidated itself in the year 2010 marking an end to the decade and hopefully will create a new benchmarks for the next one. We also saw many niche inbound products gaining interest and 2011 will see them developing to newer heights. Amongst our newest initiatives we look towards launching Self Drive Tours in the adventure segment. Our first Ambassador car comes to us in the first week of January , we are all excited on once again using to old war horse of Indian tourism in its new kitsch retro feel.

Have an incredible year ahead !

Most Warmly
Arjun Sharma
